Taste of Dublin made a welcome return to Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens from September 1st to 5th 2021. Wicklow Naturally was well represented at the event as many of our members took to the Food for Thought Culture stage to join panel discussions on important issues in food and drink culture in Ireland.

They included:

  • Powerscourt Distillery had 5-panel discussions with hosts Dee Laffan and Ali Dunworth, where Santina Kennedy discussed topics such as sustainable food and drink production with our member Chef Tadgh Byrne and Powerscourt Distillery’s COO Gerry Ginty.
  • A Food Tourism discussion highlighted the importance of networks such as Wicklow Naturally and Santina discussed collaborations in our network and brought along a selection of produce including Wicklow Farmhouse Cheese, Coolattin Cheddar, The Chocolate Garden of Ireland Chocolates, Olly’s Farm Honey, and Miena’s Nougat.
  • Indeed, Olly Nolan of Olly’s Farm had a separate discussion about his work as a beekeeper, and Miena of Miena’s Nougat was part of a panel discussing Women in the Food Business.

The panel discussions were engaging and informative and it was great to see our Wicklow Naturally network taking centre stage at the event. It gave a true ‘taste’ of what it is like to be meeting customers again at live events and we are hoping to see lots of live events happening again soon!
