Today is Cinco de Mayo – a day of celebration of Mexican culture, and our Wicklow Naturally members have some great food and drink produce to ensure you can whip up some delicious Mexican flavours tonight!
How about some tasty guacamole to kick off a Mexican meal. Avocados and limes roughly mashed with salt form the basis of this recipe, but the addition of chopped coriander will give it that distinctive Mexican flavour! Our member, Kelly’s Fruit and Veg have all you need to make this great veggie side dish, so look out for them when you shop local!

Sweetcorn on the barbeque is always a tasty and healthy side, but did you know that our member Kilmullen Farm grows sweetcorn in Wicklow? It may not be ready for your Cinco de Mayo barbeque but be sure to watch out for it at harvest time. Kilmullen Farm shares the fascinating farm to fork process, and we at Wicklow Naturally will be happy to let you know when it’s ready to eat!
Of course, spicy sauces are a great addition to a Mexican meal, and in Wicklow, we have the best on the market! Mic’s Chilli’s range includes heat levels ‘from fire imp to hardcore chilli fan’!
